Philosophy

Do you find yourself staring off into the distance, thinking about the BIG QUESTIONS?

Are you someone who has a natural reflex to push back on the norms and expectations of society?

Do the answers to questions lead to more questions?

Did you ever want to know what life is all about?

And, more importantly, do you want to develop your own answer to the ultimate question: life, the universe, and everything?

This is a humanities course that will review the history of Philosophy. From Socrates to Descartes to Nietzsche to Zizek and Dr Cornel West. We will also apply these schools of thinking to contemporary intersectional issues (race, gender & sexuality, culture, identity, class, and prevailing ideologies). We will engage in literature, film, podcasts, and more. This course is project-based while also relying heavily on classroom discussions. Let's PHILOSOPHIZE!
