Course Goal
 
Visual Art course is an introductory course in studio art. Students in this course will experience a studio-based learning that focuses on the Elements of Art and Principles of Design while learning a variety of media and processes, such as drawing, watercolor painting, design, collage, and oil pastels. Lessons will incorporate some art history as well
as reflection and critique. Students will learn to work through creative problem solving and gain an understanding of the terminology associated with the visual arts. Visual arts is another language that allows students to learn how to communicate through visual expression.
