The UFT’s premier educational event of the year is a unique blend of professional learning, inspiration and entertainment. This year, to mark the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, Kurtis Blow, a founding artist of this musical genre, will make a guest appearance at our conference. There will also be a town hall, a gala luncheon and workshops on topics that include autism in the classroom, the use of data to advance equity and mindfulness.
The talents of our students will be on display during the luncheon with a performance by Voices of 130, the student chorus from PS 130 in lower Manhattan. In the exhibit hall, high school career and technical education students will be demonstrating their expertise in the culinary arts, graphics, dentistry and other fields.
